In Denmark, pipe insulation work on technical service and supply systems must meet DS 452 - the national code of practice covering heating, ventilation, water supply and cooling installations with operating temperatures from -40°C to +650°C.

What types of pipes does Izotehas insulate?
We insulate heating and cooling pipes, district heating mains, industrial process piping, chilled water lines, steam pipes, HVAC ductwork connections and marine pipework. If it's a pipe or duct that needs thermal, acoustic or moisture control, we can handle it.
What insulation standard do you work to in Denmark?
For building technical systems - heating, ventilation, water supply and cooling we work to DS 452, the Danish code of practice for thermal insulation of technical service and supply systems. For district heating pipework, the relevant standard is DS/EN 253. We provide documentation confirming compliance on every project.
What insulation materials do you use?
The right material depends on the application - operating temperature, fire rating requirements, acoustic requirements and environment. Common materials we install include mineral wool, PIR/PUR rigid foam, elastomeric foam, armaflex, isogen and calcium silicate. We specify based on the project conditions, not on what's cheapest on the shelf.
Do you work as a subcontractor or main contractor?
Izotehas works as a specialist insulation subcontractor. We're typically brought in by general contractors, MEP installers or project managers to take on the insulation scope. We don't compete for the main contract.
Can you work on live installations?
Yes, where the system design and safety conditions allow. We coordinate with the client and contractor to schedule installation around active systems and other trades on site.
Do you cover all of Denmark?
Yes. We operate across Denmark. If you have a project outside a major city, contact us - we'll confirm availability for your location and timeline.
