Tank insulation is the application of thermal insulation materials and protective cladding to storage tanks, process vessels, silos, and other cylindrical or rectangular containers. Installation & Cladding
Insulation is fitted to the tank surface and finished with sheet metal cladding - aluminium or stainless steel to protect against weather, mechanical damage, and UV degradation. All joints and terminations are sealed.

What types of tanks does Izotehas insulate?
Izotehas insulates virtually all tank types: vertical and horizontal storage tanks, flat-bottomed tanks, process vessels, fermenters, silos, LNG/cryogenic tanks, and marine tanks. We work with steel, stainless steel, and concrete tank shells.
Can you insulate tanks while they are in operation?
Yes, in most cases. Izotehas insulates operational tanks by coordinating safely around hot surfaces and active processes. We develop a safety plan for each project that addresses surface temperature access, ventilation, and containment.
What insulation materials do you use for tanks?
Material selection depends on operating temperature and tank contents. We install mineral wool for hot tanks, Armaflex elastomeric foam for cold and chilled vessels, calcium silicate for high-temperature process equipment, and cellular glass for chemically aggressive environments. All materials are selected to meet DS 452 requirements.
Do you replace existing tank insulation?
